What do YOU want to become?

I know that as teenagers we all encountered this one question - be it by a teacher; a relative; parents or friends: "What do you want to become when you grow up?" and by asking this particular question, all they want to know is that what profession would you like to get into.
Today's society values and respects us on our status of living: whether we're getting into a good profession or not, and good profession only means a great salary; whether we're focusing only on one superior goal of our life.

In other words, this society limits us. It draws a line around our mental conscience which limits us to one profession and one goal.
Oscar Wilde once said "We're not nouns, we're verbs: I'm not a writer, a scientist, an artist, a musician - I'm a human: I write, I conduct experiments, I draw, I produce music"

We, as the youth of this generation must understand we're a part of the human race and not the present day professional status race.

So don't limit yourself, reach new horizons: write that poem, conduct that experiment, try singing that song in B minor, raise your voice against those racist and homophobic slangs, try solving those new type of mathematical problems, try drawing that excessively complex symmetrical figure, and next time when someone asks you what do you want to become: tell them you want to write, tell them you want to draw, tell them you are capable of becoming more than just one thing, tell them you're capable of so many wonderful things and you will not limit yourself to becoming one which is accepted by them but not by you.

Remember:
The world does not happen to you, it happens from you.
